Two tags give us a better starting point

The equipment badge and engine identification answer different questions. Send both, especially if the engine has been changed before. A photo of the installed assembly helps show the mounting and accessory arrangement alongside the numbers.

For generator-set owners

Include the generator make, model, rated output, operating speed and whether it serves standby or regular duty. Identify the engine work you need and any known problems with the cooling, fuel or controls. Electrical and generator work must be scoped separately.

For tractor and equipment owners

Tell us the machine model, what it does and whether you are sending a removed engine or a complete machine. Photograph the oil pan, drive end and accessory connections where practical. Confirm receiving and removal arrangements before moving equipment.

A quote with a defined assembly

Ask which internal components and machining are included and which external components will transfer. The condition of the original engine and the parts needed determine the final rebuild scope. Core exchange, freight, completion timing and warranty belong in the written quote.

Assembly & scope

Confirm the machining, internal components, external equipment and test or commissioning responsibilities in writing. Engine work and complete-machine repair are different scopes.

Core & freight

Confirm whether exchange is required and whether a deposit is included or separate. A core must match the purchased engine and be rebuildable to receive credit. Freight and unloading arrangements are confirmed for the order.

Schedule & warranty

Agree on the build or supply schedule and the written coverage for your exact order. Inspection, parts availability and confirmed scope affect timing. Review the oil, maintenance and warranty requirements before use.

Questions before you commit

Can you identify it from the tractor or generator brand?

The equipment brand is useful, but we also need the installed engine identification. Tell us about any previous engine replacement or conversion.

Can I send a removed engine for rebuilding?

Call first with the engine identifiers, diagnosis and location. We confirm build acceptance, the assembly to send, loading and freight arrangements before it leaves your shop.

Can I order from the model name alone?

No. The engine tag and equipment tag identify different parts of the application. Include both, along with fuel and operating details.

Is every engine shown ready to ship?

No. A guide describes an inquiry path. Current stock, build acceptance, price and lead time are confirmed for your specific order before payment.

Can you handle a natural-gas engine?

Yes. Big 3 builds natural-gas engines for industrial applications. Send the engine and equipment identification, fuel-system details and operating requirements for a build-specific quote.

Does this include the whole machine or site work?

The engine build is the starting scope. Removal, installation, generator electrical work, pump work, field service and commissioning are included only if specifically agreed in your quote.
