Cummins Industrial Engine Rebuilds & Replacement Quotes

A Cummins engine needs to fit the machine, its controls and the work it performs. Big 3 builds industrial engines for pumps, generators, oilfield applications and equipment. Start with the engine serial number and the existing installation so we can quote the right assembly.

Start with the installed engine

Send a clear engine-tag photo and the equipment tag together. Include existing parts references if you have them. We use those details to review the build before discussing price; the Cummins name or displacement alone does not establish the assembly you need.

Generator, pump or equipment duty

A generator buyer should include the set rating and operating speed. A pump buyer should include the drive arrangement and operating schedule. For tractors and equipment, show the mounting, accessory and drive connections. These details help define what transfers and what must be supplied.

Rebuild yours or source an assembly

Tell us whether the original engine is available and what the diagnosis found. We can discuss a rebuild of that engine and review replacement options for the identified application. The quote confirms the accepted work, machining, parts, assembly level and schedule.

Keep truck and industrial inquiries separate

For a Dodge or Ram pickup, use the Ram Cummins page. For a genset, skid, pump or machine, stay on this industrial path. Include your controls, cooling and fuel-equipment requirements so the quote addresses the installation you actually have.

A useful quote starts here

Send the engine tag and equipment details.

  1. Engine model, serial number, readable dataplate and CPL if shown. Include any prior replacement records.

  2. Equipment or generator make, model and serial number, actual fuel, operating rating and normal working schedule.

  3. Failure diagnosis, components to be reused, delivery ZIP and the date you need the engine back.

Compare the whole job.

Assembly & scope

Confirm the machining, internal components, external equipment and test or commissioning responsibilities in writing. Engine work and complete-machine repair are different scopes.

Core & freight

Confirm whether exchange is required and whether a deposit is included or separate. A core must match the purchased engine and be rebuildable to receive credit. Freight and unloading arrangements are confirmed for the order.

Schedule & warranty

Agree on the build or supply schedule and the written coverage for your exact order. Inspection, parts availability and confirmed scope affect timing. Review the oil, maintenance and warranty requirements before use.

Questions before you commit

What if the Cummins dataplate is missing?

Send any legible engine numbers, equipment records and photos of the existing assembly. Tell us the tag is missing so we can work through identification with you before accepting an order.

Is this a complete generator or pump package?

This page covers engine-build and replacement inquiries. The written quote identifies the supplied assembly and any agreed supporting work; it does not automatically include the driven equipment or field installation.

Can I order from the model name alone?

No. The engine tag and equipment tag identify different parts of the application. Include both, along with fuel and operating details.

Is every engine shown ready to ship?

No. A guide describes an inquiry path. Current stock, build acceptance, price and lead time are confirmed for your specific order before payment.

Can you handle a natural-gas engine?

Yes. Big 3 builds natural-gas engines for industrial applications. Send the engine and equipment identification, fuel-system details and operating requirements for a build-specific quote.

Does this include the whole machine or site work?

The engine build is the starting scope. Removal, installation, generator electrical work, pump work, field service and commissioning are included only if specifically agreed in your quote.
