What does the engine power?

Engine families we work with

Discuss Cummins and Perkins builds, plus small- and big-block Chevrolet and Ford combinations. We also handle engine inquiries for Generac, Olympian and Cat equipment. The equipment name alone does not identify the installed engine; send both tags.

Diesel or natural gas

State the fuel the unit actually runs on. For natural-gas applications, include the fuel-system and ignition identification and any existing conversion details. We confirm the engine configuration and supplied components in the build quote.

A useful quote starts here

Send the engine tag and equipment details.

  1. Engine manufacturer, model, serial number and readable identification-tag photos.

  2. Equipment make, model, serial number, fuel type and rated operating information.

  3. What failed, what will be reused, your location and the required completion date.

Compare the whole job.

Assembly & scope

Confirm the machining, internal components, external equipment and test or commissioning responsibilities in writing. Engine work and complete-machine repair are different scopes.

Core & freight

Confirm whether exchange is required and whether a deposit is included or separate. A core must match the purchased engine and be rebuildable to receive credit. Freight and unloading arrangements are confirmed for the order.

Schedule & warranty

Agree on the build or supply schedule and the written coverage for your exact order. Inspection, parts availability and confirmed scope affect timing. Review the oil, maintenance and warranty requirements before use.

Questions before you commit

Can I order from the model name alone?

No. The engine tag and equipment tag identify different parts of the application. Include both, along with fuel and operating details.

Is every engine shown ready to ship?

No. A guide describes an inquiry path. Current stock, build acceptance, price and lead time are confirmed for your specific order before payment.

Can you handle a natural-gas engine?

Yes. Big 3 builds natural-gas engines for industrial applications. Send the engine and equipment identification, fuel-system details and operating requirements for a build-specific quote.

Does this include the whole machine or site work?

The engine build is the starting scope. Removal, installation, generator electrical work, pump work, field service and commissioning are included only if specifically agreed in your quote.
