Keep the Mustang configuration together

Include the year, VIN, engine generation and manual or automatic transmission. List the induction, fuel equipment, oil pan, wiring and accessories expected to transfer. For an existing swap, identify both the donor engine and the car.

Set the goal before choosing the build

A daily driver, a naturally aspirated weekend car and a boosted project need different specifications. Tell us the intended fuel, current modifications and drivability priorities. The Mustang upgrade page shows existing package scopes and prices; the exact vehicle-specific combination is confirmed in the quote.

Questions about this engine path

Is a Mustang upgrade package the same as an engine long block?

No. A long-block listing describes the supplied engine assembly. A vehicle upgrade package describes a scope of work on the car. Compare the included components, installation and tuning before choosing.

What should I send for a replacement quote?

Send the VIN, model year, original or donor engine identification, transmission, diagnosis and whether you need shipping or installation. Include the product SKU if you have a catalog listing in mind.

Before choosing a Mustang 5.0L Coyote engine

1. Identify the application

Send the VIN, model year and actual engine identification; disclose any swap or modifications.

2. Plan the combination

Include the transmission, intended use, diagnosis and components you expect to reuse.

3. Confirm the scope

Confirm the assembly, core/exchange terms, freight or installation, schedule and written warranty.

Replacement or rebuild?

Compare the exact catalog assembly with a quote to rebuild your existing engine. Tell us whether you need a stock replacement or are planning upgrades. Price, availability, supplied parts and warranty depend on the selected product and confirmed work.

Questions before ordering

Does a catalog match confirm fitment?

No. Matching names or displacement only narrow the search. Big 3 needs the vehicle and engine identifiers to confirm the supplier listing, configuration and any required supporting work.

What is included in the displayed price?

The card displays the catalog product price. Open that same product for its details. Check whether the selected offer includes a refundable core deposit. Confirm any other core/exchange terms, freight, tax, installation and order-specific charges in your quote.

What warranty applies?

Use the selected product's written warranty and confirmed invoice terms. Stock replacements, customer-core rebuilds and performance packages may have different parts and labor coverage. A guide does not expand that coverage.

What if my engine is not listed here?

Product-name search can miss assemblies listed under an engine code or supplier number. Send your VIN and engine details for help; an empty search is not a statement that your engine cannot be supplied.
